Trump Wins Again: The YCL Responds
Though not surprised, we are nevertheless disappointed that the United States has chosen to re-elect Donald Trump, a professional fraudster and conman currently awaiting sentencing, who has built his political career on fearmongering, lies, and corruption, and who represents the cruelest and most self-serving attributes of capitalist domination. Our struggle as organizers in the imperial core is the same, regardless of who is in power: it is an uphill battle against the forces of U.S. imperialism, monopoly capitalism, and ruthless chauvinism, none of which can be solved by the elite who run our undemocratic, two-party system.
One Year of Genocide in Palestine: Statement from the New York Young Communist League
Today marks one year since the escalation of Israel’s genocidal violence against the Palestinian people. At least 41,500* Palestinians have been killed and more than 94,454 injured in Gaza alone. 40% of those killed are children. A new acronym has arisen from the devastation: WCNSF - Wounded Child, No Surviving Family. Over 900 family lines have been completely wiped out. Entire neighborhood blocks have been reduced to rubble. All of Gaza’s hospitals have been targeted, with only a few still operating – at limited capacity – and overwhelmed with casualties and illnesses.
Nearly all of Gaza’s 2.1 million inhabitants have been displaced multiple times and face a manufactured famine at the hands of Israel. There is no safe place in Gaza.
NY Young Communist League Condemns Smear Campaign Against DSA and Palestine-Solidarity Activists
The New York YCL condemns, in the strongest terms, the smear campaign being waged against DSA and all who are attacked and slandered for standing in solidarity with Palestinians. As we release this statement, millions of Gazans, most of them children, are facing relentless bombing and a forced relocation that the United Nations says would be "impossible"; an act of genocide.
